Challenge

The five affordable homes built in Bladon for Sovereign Housing Association are an example of a rural exception scheme. These are small housing developments that fall outside normal local housing plans. They are aimed at providing affordable housing to people with a strong connection to the local area who might otherwise be forced to move away from their communities due to the house prices in rural areas are higher than in towns and cities

Solution

Cotswold Plain Tiles were specified for this development due to their traditional appearance and how they complemented the other materials used in the scheme.
Russell Roof Tiles worked closely with roofing contractors Bicester Roofing on the project, and they have also worked them with on other homes in the Cotswold region.

Result

The successful completion of five affordable rural homes which are sympathetic and blend in well with their locality.
