Challenge

The planners were looking for a natural slate alternative for a cost effective roofing solution. The project was part of a large Scheme in Derby for a total of 103 new houses. There were a range of house types involved.

Solution

The Moray and Galloway thin leading edge tiles were chosen as a high quality tilling solution. RussFast Ridge and Hip systems were also used and allowed for a quick and easy installation.

Result

The combination of the slim tile profile and the riven finish on the Morays meant that a natural slate appearance was achieved. There were significant cost savings by choosing the interlocking concrete tiles instead of natural slate which requires a much more difficult installation.
